The entry of Uranus into Gemini this Sunday is the last piece of the puzzle of the new era. The four outer planets are now firmly established on their new path. The passage from Water Earth (Pluto Capricorn, Uranus Taurus, Neptune Saturn Pisces) to Air Fire (Pluto Aquarius, Uranus Gemini, Neptune Saturn Aries) is complete.
Stephen Arroyo describes Water Earth, our recent experience, as serious, burdensome, preoccupied with survival needs, determined, and susceptible to being manipulative. Air Fire, on the other hand, is described as idealistic, positive-thinking, aspirational, optimistic, resourceful, although not always realistic.
There are signs of a definite improvement in the future, although it seems a distant possibility for now whether the late French astrologer André Barbault’s prediction of “the turning point of 2026-2030” will hold. He looked forward to “the awakening of the mysteries of life.” ‘Four planets, forming a triangle with each other, that move as if they wanted to metamorphose the world. We face the possibility of a change that makes the terms “change” or “upheaval” itself seem too weak to define the breadth of what could transform the known world.’
The translation from his native French is a little clumsy, but he was clearly hoping for a momentous change for the better.
What will stand in the way of a golden path ahead is Saturn entering Taurus in 2028 and into a square of deprivation, hardship and warmongering to Pluto for 18 months. By 2030 Saturn is in Gemini and by 2031 it is conjunct Uranus, which in previous eras has sometimes led to a peak of enlightenment and justice, although it can also have other effects.

Uranus is the god of lightning, pioneer, promoter of freedom, independence, revolutions, scientific inventions and anarchic chaos. In more recent times the Internet moved from early computing in Uranus in 1955/6 to Leo, further advances in 1962, Microsoft was founded in 1974 with Uranus right in Scorpio, the first computer virus in 1981 when it moved to Sagittarius, then in 1989 to Capricorn the first commercial Internet providers and the WWW.
Albert Einstein delightfully published his seminal papers that led to a century of study of theoretical physics the year Uranus entered Capricorn in 1902.
What is also notable if you omit events is how many iconic artists, novels and films emerged or burst onto the scene in the year Uranus changed signs.

The previous century, when Uranus entered Gemini, Darwin published his Origin of Species; and Big Ben rang for the first time in London.
There are also intriguing repetitions. Bill Gates was born in 1955 with Uranus right in Leo and founded Microsoft two later in Uranus right in Scorpio.
The Beatles burst onto the scene in 1962 when Uranus entered Virgo and made their last public appearance the next time in 1968, when Uranus entered Libra.
The Vietnam War began in 1955/56 in Leo and ended three Uranus cycles later when it entered Scorpio in 1975.
The Guildford Four, who were imprisoned in 1975 in the United Kingdom in a miscarriage of justice for alleged IRA bombings with Uranus right in Scorpio, were freed fourteen years later when Uranus entered Capricorn in 1989.
Revolutions are a key outcome of the Uranian drive for freedom at all costs. The Eastern European uprisings of 1989, when the Berlin Wall collapsed, occurred as Uranus had just entered Capricorn. That year apartheid also began to be dismantled in South Africa. The Arab Spring coincided with the entry of Uranus into Aries in 2011. The entry of Uranus into Libra in 1968 brought the start of the Irish riots and the Stonewall riots fighting for gay rights.
The destructive side of Uranus comes to light with brutal repressions such as in Tiananmen Square in 1989 (in Capricorn); the Holocaust in 1942/43 (in Gemini); Rising Nazism and the Night of the Long Knives purge in Germany in 1934 with Uranus entering Taurus. And the Titanic sank when Uranus entered Aquarius in 1912.
The movement of Uranus through Gemini, as it will occur between 2025 and 2032, is likely to have a notable impact on the US, as previous occasions coincided with the American Civil War during the 1860s; and the American Revolution in 1775/76; and the one before this in 1942/43 occurred in the wake of Pearl Harbor and the US entering World War 11. The Uranus return in the US is 2027.
