Rashmika Mandanna has wrapped up an extensive shooting schedule for a major underwater action sequence in her upcoming Telugu film Mysaa. According to the makers, the sequence is billed as India’s first underwater action piece directed by an actress.
Announcing the milestone, the production team said: “A new chapter in action cinema has begun,” adding that audiences can expect a “high-stakes historic spectacle.” Filming underwater poses significant technical and physical challenges, and actors and crew must work with limited oxygen, reduced visibility and restricted movement while executing carefully choreographed action sequences.
In Mysaa, Rashmika plays a Gond tribal woman, a role that marks a departure from her recent on-screen appearances. The film is directed by Rawindra Pulle, which aims to present the actress in a never-seen-before avatar.
Rashmika has previously collaborated with notable filmmakers like Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Animal) and Sukumar (Pushpa franchise). With Mysaa, she is set to explore an action-driven role that could become another major milestone in her career.
