S3 Ep 30 – Full moon and Scorpio in the mystery

This Full Moon in Scorpio is always an invitation to explore secrets, or things that may not be pleasant or pleasurable but are necessary. Scorpio can be associated with uncomfortable, irritating and sometimes sharp feelings, due to Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio. This could present an opportunity to deal with intense but persistent feelings from the past, using the energy of the Full Moon to shed some light.

Hello and welcome back to another episode of Kelly’s Astrology Podcast.

I’m excited to get back into podcasting after a few weeks away. On today’s show, I’ll take you through some of the themes emerging from the upcoming Full Moon in Scorpio, which arrives on May 1st. This is such a powerful Full Moon that has great potential for both release and renewal.

As many of you know, we were in France the last few weeks. I gave a two-day training in Strasbourg at the end of March and then we took some time to explore Provence. It was a great pleasure to be in Europe again. I think I ate too much goat cheese, but that’s what holidays are for, right? And while our trips were wonderful, it’s also great to be home, especially this time of year when the gardens come to life. I hope you’re enjoying the best of the gifts of Taurus season, whatever you’re up to. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite Taurus season treat is.

Well, today’s show will focus on the Full Moon in Scorpio, which of course will include a look at the ruler of the Full Moon, which is Mars in Aries.

Before we dive in, I wanted to tell you about my new training in astrology, which will begin in May. It’s about how to go further when predicting with prophecies. I will teach you a combination of advanced extras that you can use when timing profections. This course is ideal for intermediate astrology students who already know the basics of the professions. If this is you, visit my website. kellysastrology.com to register today! I will be live teaching this class every week and we start on May 12th.

Well, let’s get into this Full Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is at the 11th point of Scorpio and will happen on Friday 1st May, unless you are in Australia then it will be the 2nd.

This Full Moon feels like an invitation to delve into mystery. Scorpio’s deep waters are often misunderstood. With the Moon bringing its illuminating light to these dark waters, you can illuminate something that feels mysterious or murky. You could take a look at a complicated situation to see it more clearly. The Full Moon in Scorpio is always an invitation to explore secrets or delve into what may be uncomfortable.

Of the three water signs, Scorpio is the only one ruled by Mars, so there is emotional strength in Scorpio. Scorpio is also the water sign that represents feelings of a Martian nature, meaning buried anger, rage, or resentment, even lingering feelings of betrayal or hurt from past events. So, as the Full Moon shines over Scorpio, you can consider some of these less pleasant feelings from a new perspective.

Are you carrying around some old anger that’s a little festering and that you might be ready to clear up? Are you ready to heal the pain of the past? Are there any intensive purging or releasing rituals you want to explore?

The Full Moon in Scorpio can help you discover hidden feelings or tap into buried emotions.

Under the Full Moon in Scorpio, you may need to be more honest, even if it is difficult to do so. If you don’t know how to be honest with another person, at least have a more honest conversation with yourself.

A question I am using as a guide for reflection under this Full Moon in Scorpio is:
“What do I need to know about what’s messed up?”

While it would be wonderful if life were smooth, easy, and always pleasant, the reality is that we are always exploring a combination of the easy and the difficult, the smooth and the friction-filled.

Since this lunation is ruled by Mars, a planet known for its prickly, sharp, and direct qualities, you can work with the Full Moon in Scorpio by honoring the celestial invitation to delve deeper into what is irritating or not as orderly as you would like.

And there could be great value in doing so since, in the hours after the Full Moon, the Moon’s first aspect will be to Jupiter in Cancer. This suggests that while this Full Moon may initially draw your attention to something complicated, old, or tender, it can lead to healing, connection, and even new freedom.

The Moon is falling in Scorpio and you can name a situation where you feel at a low point, or clarify something or someone that is bringing you down. Giving it a name could be the first step in helping it find its way.

Which is absolutely possible as the Moon moves toward support, encouragement, and even hope for a better future as it links with Jupiter in Cancer.

One way this combination could be seen is that the path to healing passes through the swamp. Or you may have to walk through the dark forest to find the open meadow on the other side.

The key here is that it may be worth going in and going through something mysterious, cute or uncomfortable.

If we move on to look at the ruler of the Full Moon, we will now focus on Mars. Mars is well placed in the home, in one of its signs of origin, Aries. So, there’s a super productive undercurrent going on this Full Moon in Scorpio.

What might seem like a lost cause at first may show improved potential over time. Or recognizing what isn’t working helps you find a better solution that will be more viable and sustainable.

Mars in Aries loves missions. It is placed in the sixth position in relation to the Full Moon in Scorpio, making it especially powerful as a defender. If you need to advocate for yourself around a current issue, or are passionate about contributing to a mission that advocates for others in your broader community, this combination of Full Moon in Scorpio plus Mars in Aries will be perfect for that.

Mars in Aries has that kind of surgical precision, which can help you hone a specific strategy. This can help with progress toward a goal or objective, especially if you are looking for a quick change or a quick result.

Additionally, Mars in Aries is moving into a golden angle with Jupiter in Cancer; that aspect will peak on Monday, May 4.

So, this Full Moon in Scorpio begins a timeline that comes to fruition four days later.

Mars square Jupiter can guide you toward meaningful action or inspire you to preach more fully, to be in the world in an authentic way. You could make decisions that better align with your sense of integrity.

To make the most of this Mars square Jupiter question, you might ask yourself: Where am I out of alignment? What do I need to adjust or change to get back to what matters to me?

So let’s step back now to reflect on all of these pieces: the Full Moon in Scorpio, moving into trine Jupiter in Cancer, the ruler of the Full Moon being Mars in Aries, which is also moving into aspect Jupiter in Cancer.

It seems like this Full Moon may bring something to light: something messy, uncomfortable, or persistent and stuck. And then it could also boost your energy, confidence and courage to help you do something to deal with what has come to light.

Jupiter in Cancer has protective themes. It is cautious and might remind you that backing off may be a timely decision. Jupiter in Cancer can also help you solidify connections with other people who truly nourish and sustain you.

One final point to note is that this Full Moon in Scorpio begins a two-week period in which the Taurus/Scorpio axis in your chart will see a lot of activity. There is this Full Moon in Scorpio, then on May 2, Mercury will enter Taurus, joining the Sun there. And finally on May 16 there will be a New Moon in Taurus.

With that in mind, I also invite you to reflect on the themes of your Taurus and Scorpio houses, to see what insights, realizations, fresh ideas, and updated choices you might be prepared for around these areas of life.

Thank you very much for joining me in this episode!

Let me know what you’re working on or ready to improve on under this secretly productive Full Moon in Scorpio.

And if you want to deepen your understanding of prediction with Profections, I hope to see you in class soon! Goodbye for now.
