“I am what I am
And what I am needs no excuses
I try my own deck
Sometimes the ace
Sometimes both”
On April 17, 2026, the The New Moon in Aries meets Chiron – the wounded healer – at 27° Aries.
Since 2018, Chiron in Aries has been pressing on one of the most existential questions of all: Who am I really and why am I here?
In this period, we have seen the rise of influencer culture, the visibility of minority groups, the explosion of discussions about gender, all different faces of the same wound:
Identity that doesn’t feel seen, that doesn’t feel allowed, that refuses to stay silent.
This is how Chiron works. It tears apart the comfortable version of yourself until you can no longer ignore what’s underneath. Until you can no longer pretend that THIS (this particular quality, this particular way of being) is not a part of you.
Because you can only be You when you hug them all.
And when the Sun and Moon (the two planets of identity) encounter this Chironic pain, looking away is no longer an option. The answer can no longer be researched, postponed, or outsourced to someone else’s opinion.
There is an immediacy, almost pressure, to this New Moon in Aries. A feeling that something is asking to be claimed… now.
“I am what I am”
Because when Chiron leaves Aries, the next opportunity to go so deep, to confront this particular wound so directly, won’t come until the next time Chiron returns to Aries. And that is in 2068.
With Chiron in Aries, we have felt (although not always consciously) that the only way to be ourselves is to truly be ourselves.
And that without this, without this fundamental honesty about who we are, nothing truly satisfying can take root, because it is not built on the right foundation.
“Life is not worth a damn
‘Till you can scream
That Aries cry doesn’t have to be for the world. Aries is not about getting a reaction, asking for feedback, or waiting for permission. It is simply about witnessing existence.
“I am not invisibleI’m here”.
I am here and the world has no choice but to accept it.
If the world has been treating you as invisible or optional, tough luck, because you’re not.
If the environment you are in overlooks who you are or tries to fit you into a way that was never yours, that is not your environment.
If your friends can only accept the version of you that aligns with them and their views, they are not your friends.
At the same time, if we want the world to accept us as we are, we have to truly BE who we are.
Because Aries energy doesn’t burn in mixed signals. You need clarity and commitment to yourself.
So who are you behind all this? Behind the filters, the selected photographs, the diploma on the wall, the job title on the business card?
For the past few decades, it made sense to lead with these things. A lot The outer planets moved through collective signs. – Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.
Whether we realize it or not, we have been living in a climate that rewarded conformity, credentials, and adaptation. The diploma and the job were the language of that time.
But that era is over. Now Neptune is in Aries. Saturn is in Aries. Chiron is in Aries. Eris is in Aries. Uranus is still in Taurus.
And Pluto, while in collective Aquarius, this time supports the individuation process taking place in Aries, rather than imposing another system to belong to.
What once turned us away from ourselves—toward the collective, toward conformity, toward whatever version of ourselves was most acceptable—is losing its grip. With so much energy in Aries, we must start from the source.
“I am what I am”
Because you, behind the mask, behind the AI, behind all the things designed to make life more fluid and enjoyable, are waaaay more interesting than all that.
Your unique style, your extravagance, your particular way of seeing the world, your unique bird song is what makes you, you. There is only one person born with your birth chart. THIS is what this Aries world needs right now.
The New Moon conjunct Aries Chiron It is an invitation to strip away the layers of identification and distill your essence.
No need to add anything, no need to remove anything. It is only recognized: I am what I am.
