On July 27, 2026, the The lunar nodes change sign – he The North Node enters Aquariusand the The South Node enters Leo. The Nodes will remain in Leo and Aquarius until March 27, 2028.
Nodal changes are huge because for 18 months in a row, they shift the focus to a completely different axis of the chart.
We cannot analyze nodal transits in the same way that we analyze Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn or any other planetary transit.
Because?
All planets, by default, have forward motion.. The Sun, Moon and all the other planets advance through the zodiac, from Aries to Taurus, Gemini, etc.
The Lunar Nodes are the only archetypes whose default movement through the zodiac is backward.
For the last 18 months they have been in Pisces and Virgo and now that they have reached 0° Pisces and Virgo, they will move to 29° Aquarius and Leo. What would otherwise be an anaretic degree (29°) for any other planet is the entry point for the lunar nodes.
What does this mean in practice?
Think of all the planets that move around the Sun as a movie that unfolds scene by scene. The character goes through a series of experiences and transformations as they move from one stage to another. Everything flows in the same direction as time itself: forward.
The lunar nodes: the karmic editing mechanism
But then come the Nodes. The Nodes retreat – against time, against the natural progression of history – as if he were reviewing the footage from a higher vantage point.
They look for continuity errors: places where character – the identity we have developed – no longer matches the direction in which life is trying to move.
The South Node reveals what has become repetitive, overdeveloped, or no longer necessary. The North Node presents the missing piece: the unknown quality that must now be developed for the story to continue.
The Lunar Nodes work together as a karmic editing mechanism, continually readjust our identity so that who we have become remains aligned with who we are becoming.
While we are in Pisces and Virgo, the Lunar Nodes have been reviewing and editing that part of our lives governed by the Virgo-Pisces axis.
On a mundane level, they have reviewed and recalibrated everything that Saturn in Pisces (2023-2026) and Neptune in Pisces (2011-2026) have put in place.
Now, in Aquarius and LeoThe focus is on the changes initiated by Pluto in Aquarius and Jupiter in Leo, and on the negotiation between our individual identity and the collective systems to which we belong.
The Leo-Aquarius axis
In our natal chart, the The Leo-Aquarius axis is a pair of houses. – with or without planets – that are locked in dialogue with each other.

It is a higher order identity level adjustment that works in the deepest layers of our psyche. Unlike regular planetary transits, nodal transits may be less conscious as they develop, but the transformation they produce is more lasting.
If the Nodes activate your 4th to 10th house axis, it is not as simple as “focus on your family”, “buy a new house” or “change your career” -> it is about how these 2 areas, linked by design, influence and readjust each other.
Maybe the promotion will not only change your career, but change what “home” must look like to support it and what you are ultimately willing to ask for there. Or the change at home not only changes your family: it changes what you can contribute to work and what you stop tolerating there.
One house moves and the other reorganizes around it.
The lunar nodes: the original opposition
With the Nodal couple it is neither one house nor the other. It’s not even the two of them together. It’s the relationship between them, reconfigured, and that changes everything we thought we knew.
Since the lunar nodes are opposite by design, Nodal transits act as an opposition.. Even if you don’t have any planetary opposition in your birth chart, you have the lunar nodes, and that is the opposition we all have.
An opposition reveals something we were completely blind to, something we may have never considered, simply because, as individuals, we naturally experience life from a “self” perspective.
But The opposition reflects the “I” to us. From this testimonial perspective, we can finally see ourselves – and the situation – for what they really are.
