When we first met Son Heung-Min a few years ago, in 2024, he arrived at a time when the international football community was just beginning to fully recognize his impact, a rise that would soon extend to the world stage. Son Heung-Min remains the charismatic superstar footballer we have known since then. Except now, even that title seems too understated. His achievements to date include: captaining Tottenham Hotspur to their first trophy in 17 years with a UEFA Europa League triumph in 2025. Since then, he has begun a new chapter with Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer, cementing his status as one of the most successful Korean footballers of the 2020s.
All this while maintaining his position as global ambassador at Burberry. In an exclusive special interview, he gives us an insight into his life beyond the football field and how luxury plays an active role in his active recovery.
What does Burberry represent to you in terms of style?
For me, Burberry represents a balance between staying true to its foundations and practical heritage, while continually evolving with something new. That combination of tradition and innovation feels closely aligned with the direction I’m following as an athlete.

For someone like me who values simplicity and comfort, wearing Burberry naturally adds a sense of sophistication and elegance while still being practical and effortless. I like how it balances everyday ease with a refined touch.

In the stadium I see the fans as what gives me the strength to make the impossible possible. Their support and energy create an atmosphere that makes every match day truly special.
What do Burberry and Britishness have in common?
I think it’s about staying true to your fundamentals, respecting diversity, and continually evolving the cultural values that have been maintained for over 170 years.
