Okay, let’s get back to this Full Moon in Sagittarius. First of all, this is a Full Moon in a fire sign, so there will be some drama and there will be action and there will be a need for movement. Sagittarius is one of the wildest signs of the Zodiac, so you may find that you are more instinctive or even reactive under this Full Moon.

Of course, since the Full Moon is in Sagittarius, you can seek wisdom or strive to make decisions that allow you to remain in your integrity. A sense of adventure may prompt you to make a bold decision or pursue an exciting dream.

Sagittarius likes experiences and understands that growth happens through action, so this Full Moon is all about having new experiences. In turn, you will gain wisdom and understanding about yourself, but also about what is truly meaningful to you.

You can personalize your experience with this Sag FM by exploring themes of new experiences and freedom, especially around the themes of any house in which Sagittarius is on the cusp. These could be relationships if you have a Sag DSC or in your career if you have a Sag MC or 10th house, or something to do with friends and community if you have Sag in the 11th house.

The Full Moon at 9 Sagittarius illuminates the 9 Gemini/9 Sagittarius axis, which aligns with two powerful fixed stars. The Moon itself will be with Antares and the Sun in Gemini will be with Aldebaran. These are powerful stars that highlight the transition: Aldebarán is linked to spring and beginnings, while Antares is linked to autumn and the transition or change that is part of the endings.

Aldebaran and Antares are also stars associated with war, military commitment, and the need for intentional strategy. They emphasize power and success, but also the need to act honorably.

So if things feel a little more intense under this Full Moon in Sagittarius than you expected, it may be that you are taking advantage of the activations of these royal stars. If you need to make an important transition, such as starting or finishing something important, this Full Moon can help you do it.

The Full Moon only has one notable aspect, which is a trine to Saturn in Aries. So the Full Moon in Sagittarius has a wild and unbridled quality, and points to important endings or transitions, and then forms an aspect with Saturn in Aries, which is already a harbinger of the disintegration of old structures, habits and traditions, thanks to Saturn being in autumn in Aries.

This Full Moon can be great for stepping away from what you’ve outgrown or experimenting with new structures and commitments that could shape life in the future.

The ruler of the Full Moon in Sagittarius is, of course, Jupiter in Cancer. This suggests a contrast of themes. While Sagittarius has an extroverted, active, and moody quality, Jupiter in Cancer is protective, cautious, and more interested in nurturing bonds with who or what is already in your life.

So this Full Moon evokes a contradiction: on the one hand, you can look for new scenarios and opportunities to keep life interesting and fun. On the other hand, you may appreciate the value of who and what is already in your life and prioritize deepening and expanding existing high-quality connections and possibilities. So there is breadth and depth here.

The secret highlight of this Full Moon in Sagittarius is that Venus is heading towards Jupiter, the ruler of the Full Moon. Venus conjunct Jupiter’s aspect will not peak until June 8-10, however, it begins to share its emanations from this Full Moon.

While such a lovely aspect involving Venus and Jupiter is not enough to right every wrong or solve every challenge you may face, it is more than enough to sound a note of pleasure, beauty, joy, appreciation, and security in at least one area of your life.

In fact, the Venus conjunct Jupiter aspect can bring blessings, gifts, sweet moments, or new affection in three different areas of your life. If you know your chart, look for the house themes of Taurus, Cancer, and Libra. They all receive blessings and support under the aspect Venus conjunct Juptier.

With Venus moving toward Jupiter, ruler of the full moon, there may be sweet and pleasant experiences or encounters on the way. The decisions you make or the passions you pursue under this Full Moon could lead to a tender moment or reveal a hidden gem you hadn’t fully appreciated.

You could use this Full Moon in Sagittarius (and the 10 days following) to express your gratitude to someone you love or show appreciation for the support or encouragement others have given you. You could generously share what you have in abundance or ask for help that may be especially needed.

There is something about this conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the water sign that can help you nurture deep roots, which over time will support your future flourishing.

So while this Full Moon weekend may be dramatic or make you feel uneasy, the changes it inspires can lead you toward more sustainable circumstances and experiences.

I would love to know how this Full Moon in Sagittarius shows up in your life, feel free to leave your experiences in the comments below.

And if you’d like to meet up for a fun astrology weekend outside of Toronto, Canada this August, I hope to see you at my summer student workshop.

I wish you a wonderful week, until next time!
