Advances in medical technology has announced the winners of its 10th annual awards program, which recognizes excellence in digital health and medical technology in more than 20 countries.
The 2026 awards highlight a decade of evolution in which artificial intelligence (AI), virtual care and precision medicine have become central pillars of global healthcare delivery.
This year’s program received a record number of nominations from startups, health systems and leading global companies.
Key categories awarded include patient engagement, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, clinical management and medical devices.
Notable winners include athenahealth (EHR Innovation), Zimmer Biomet (Best Healthcare Robotics), and Teladoc (Mental Health Innovation).

A decade ago, many of the technologies recognized in the Medical Technology Innovation Award 2026s, such as environmental clinical AI and real-time remote monitoring, barely existed as commercial markets. Today, these “breakthrough” solutions are integrated into the entire clinical workflow, enabling personalized treatment at scale and continuous health monitoring through connected devices.

Steve Johansson, CEO of MedTech Breakthrough, said this year’s winners were selected not only for their impressive technology, but also for their ability to significantly improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and access to care.
