In March, authorities arrested Joseph Duggar.
He allegedly sexually abused a 9-year-old girl. She told her father and he told the authorities.
The disgraced former reality star has reportedly confessed twice, although she is currently fighting the charges.
Joy-Anna is expressing how raw This makes her feel. But it also talks too much about that and too little about the child at the center of this case.

‘The hardest time I’ve ever been through’
In the episode of Wednesday, May 27, Jinger and Jeremy podcastIt was just Jinger and Joy-Anna.
During the broadcast, the 28-year-old spoke to her older sister about the ugly affair with Joseph.
“I feel like every day is different,” Joy began.
“And,” he continued, “I think it’s probably been the hardest time I’ve ever been through.”
Coming from someone who grew up in an abusive cult, that sounds like a tall order.
“I think we are all grieving in different ways,” Joy said at the time.
“Every day feels very heavy,” he said.
“And,” Joy-Anna observed, “I definitely think that as time has gone on, certain things have become lighter.”
She confided in Jinger, and thousands of viewers, that lighter does not mean better. Not at all.
“But honestly, I’ve been struggling a lot,” Joy shared.

‘It has already impacted my family a lot’
According to Joy, her Christian beliefs have given her a sense of peace even when her family is in crisis.
However, he is hesitant to make certain public comments—directly and totally condemning Joseph, for example—while so much is up in the air.
“This has already had a big impact on my family,” Joy-Anna said.
“I feel like the more I talk about it publicly, the more they rub it in our faces,” he explained.
“And,” Joy expressed, “I want to get on with life somehow.”

Of course, Joseph’s accuser probably can’t “move on.” She was just nine years old when he allegedly sexually abused her repeatedly during a family vacation.
For everything people talk about resilience Of children, they have fewer mechanisms to cope with trauma.
Many commentators criticized Joy-Anna. Some mentioned that she seems to be using spiritual bypass to compartmentalize his brother’s alleged crimes, among other things.
Joy has every right to talk about having one brother behind bars and another facing prosecution for non-United Nationsthe related crime shocks her.
But many commentators on social media would like to see her focus her concern on the child in question. Everything else is secondary.
