KVN Productions and Thespian Films have released the first look posters of the upcoming film Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, marking a new collaboration between the two actors after 18 years. The last time they appeared together was in Tashan, which was released in 2008.
The promotional material sets a specific tone for the thriller, which the filmmakers describe as “full of mystery, menace and relentless tension.” The initial promotional copy released alongside the posters frames the project as “dark, intense, brooding. The first look at Haiwaan is finally here.”
The film is directed by Priyadarshan, known for his extensive filmography across multiple genres. According to the production notes, Haiwaan represents a shift towards a more psychological space, offering a chilling insight into the dark and exciting world of Priyadarshan.
Apart from Akshay and Saif, the project has an ensemble cast. Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar have been cast in pivotal supporting roles to complete the lead line-up.
Haiwaan is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn. The project is a joint venture between production companies KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The filmmakers have finalized the film’s distribution schedule, setting a release window for the end of the third quarter. Haiwaan is scheduled to release in theaters on September 11, 2026. The production houses are expected to reveal more details about the plot, trailers, and music release in the coming months leading up to the release.
On the work front, Akshay was last seen in the ensemble comedy film Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan appeared in the film Kartavya, which released on OTT and was directed by Pulkit.
