The streaming platform Deezer has published data indicating that AI-generated music now accounts for approximately 44% of all daily loads. This figure represents a significant acceleration in the volume of AI-generated content entering the digital music market, highlighting a transformative shift in the way content is produced and distributed.
Despite the massive influx of AI tracks (averaging approx. 75,000 new loads per day—Actual listener participation remains disproportionately low. Statistics show that these tracks currently represent only 1% to 3% of total transmissions. This gap suggests that while generative tools like Suno and Udio have made it easier to saturate the market with automated music, these tracks have yet to capture a significant share of audience attention.
Platform response and demonetization
To protect the integrity of its ecosystem and ensure fair compensation for human creators, Deezer has implemented strict measures regarding AI content. The platform actively removes AI-generated tracks from its recommendation algorithms and editorial playlists. Additionally, Deezer has adopted a policy of demonetize these tracks. This strategy is designed to prevent “streaming fraud,” in which bad actors use robots to play AI music and siphon royalties from legitimate artists.
Market saturation and rapid growth
The rise of AI content on the platform has been remarkably rapid. Deezer reported that AI-generated uploads increased by 28% in 2025 to more 40% at the beginning of 2026. Deezer remains one of the few major streaming services to explicitly tag and track AI-produced content, providing transparency in an increasingly crowded market for automated production.
Earlier this year, the company executed a massive demonetization campaign after identifying a high concentration of AI music linked to fraudulent revenue schemes. As generative tools continue to evolve, the industry faces ongoing challenges in balancing technological innovation with the economic protection of human musicians. Current data underlines a market that is physically dominated by AI production, but still intellectually and emotionally led by human artistry.
