have you seen meat season 2? I didn’t love the first season, but this one, with a completely new cast and story, is VERY ENJOYING. At a super-fancy California country club owned by a Korean billionaire, staff members, including two couples, begin deceiving each other, with varying levels of desperation, to climb the social hierarchy. Some people complain that it’s a White Lotus rip-off, but who cares? I couldn’t stop looking.
A few weeks ago, I had dinner with our soup group and my friend Linsey made strawberry crumble. I forgot how good fruit crumble can be! Inspired, the kids and I made this simple recipe in our trusty cake pan this week, and it did not disappoint.
have you seen Dan Pelosi’s New Rug Collection? The designs are inspired by her Italian-American heritage and her love of throwing parties. I am especially interested your tomato doormat. All photos were taken in Dan’s house upstatewhich is so colorful and beautiful. (I know some readers have carefully expressed concerns in the past about washing synthetic rugs. Most of the time we clean ours, and on the rare occasion we do wash them, we use cold water to minimize shedding.)
Finally, this week I met the painter. Keith Jacksonand its story is great. Based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he worked as a building contractor his entire life until 2020, when he dedicated himself to painting. It’s surprising when people discover their artistic callings later, like fellow Midwesterner Julie Blackmon, who took up photography after having three children. (Relatedha ha)
