I’m still traveling and taking advantage of the quiet hours to work on my air show photographs. Aviation photography sure has a way of revealing one’s limitations! The plane flies faster than I expected. The frame is only a few meters away. Someone gets up excited and photographs the shot. Another plane arrives at precisely the wrong time. The Patriots were particularly good at that. Yeah, I blame them even though they were parked.
Instead of getting upset, I thought I’d share some of my favorite near misses. They weren’t the photos I intended to take, but they still had that special something of being at an air show.
I’ve also been experimenting with short videos. If you’re a bit of a YouTube fan, you might be interested in my something dusty youtube channel While I finish sorting the photos. This is probably something exclusive to airshows, but it’s been fun to play with digital effects and loud music.
