Donald Trump became the first sitting American president to attend an NBA Finals game on Monday night.

And as many anticipated, the night was a bit disastrous.

On the one hand, the logistics of safely transporting the most controversial person on the planet to a packed stadium in the center of Midtown Manhattan were said to be downright a nightmare.

And then there was the decision to put Trump on the Jumbotron during the National Anthem, which predictably resulted in a cascade of boos.

And to top it all off, after a historic winning streak that lasted more than a month, his hometown New York Knicks lost a close battle to the visiting San Antonio Spurs.

Needless to say, after all that, Knicks fans would probably prefer Trump skip the rest of the series. But they may be out of luck in that regard.

The daily mail he consulted a lip reader who interpreted the conversation in Trump’s luxury box with Knicks owner James Dolan.

And it looks like Air Force One will make a return trip to JFK before Wednesday’s fourth game.

“‘Oh, that’s not it. Let me bring him up next time, you’ve got it so wrong with him. I can give him back to you with confidence. I’m not just saying that, unless you want to extinguish the feeling,” Trump reportedly said of an unknown associate, adding:

“If you want him to go to the game on Wednesday, then he has to be here.

“You have to remember that I have to put up with this. Maybe I could make the trophy, the trophy. This should be gold, don’t say no today. I’ll bet you a round of golf.”

So it sounds like, or maybe aspect For example, since we’re relying on a lip reader: Trump plans to attend Game 4 on Wednesday.

It appears he was looking to present the championship trophy in case the Knicks had swept the series, a prospect about which Dolan was understandably scared.

Still, the Spurs win may have made that point moot.

Game 5 will be played in San Antonio and given how dominant the Knicks have been on the road in these playoffs, it is possible that they will clinch the championship in Texas. Trump seems to have no plans to make that journey.

And even if the series returns to New York, Dolan still may not have to worry about saying no to Trump.

As TMZ As he points out, the president was seen sleeping during last night’s game, so he may already be losing interest in the finals.
