United is accelerating the rollout of Starlink Wi-Fi with a Boeing 777-200 on the New York-London route, becoming the first of the airline’s wide-body transatlantic flights equipped with the technology, and the first of nearly 60 United aircraft expected to have it this year.
About 400 United planes currently have Starlink and the airline expects to equip nearly 1,000 planes before the end of this year. The airline hopes to have its entire widebody fleet equipped by next summer.

“United is changing what it means to stay connected on an international flight,” said David Kinzelman, United’s chief customer officer. “Starlink offers the same fast, reliable internet access and connectivity we’re all used to at home, delivered in the air at 35,000 feet, flying anywhere in the world. This technology has the potential to transform the way we think about the inflight experience for both our customers and our employees.”
