What is the secret of the desert?

Is it the beauty of gently rolling sand dunes, exquisite rock formations and a deep sense of silence?

The dripping colors of liquid sunsets, reflecting off the whitewashed landscape, giving way to a mysterious twilight, revealing the starry night?

The lapis lazuli dome of the heavens dotted with countless constellations, a living, breathing celestial sphere that covers you at night?

Is it the thrill of driving jeeps with the wind in your hair, gliding over vast expanses of sand, zigzagging across dunes and plummeting down steep inclines?

Or is it the feeling of freedom that comes from being completely away from the world, with only a brightly colored Bedouin tent and delicious food cooked over a fire?

Maybe it’s the bliss of an oasis pool, the refreshing waters that cool you in the scorching heat of Ra and the palm trees that shade you.

Perhaps it is the company of carefree Bedouins with hearts full of joy.

The truth is that it is all of these things and even more.

On my trip through the desert I felt a deep sense of connection. The desert is an intact landscape and, as such, is a living part of Gaia. Immense and virgin, the desert has a voice and speaks to you. All you have to do is be silent and listen. The power of the landscape is palpable.

The wind in the dunes produces an ethereal hum and sometimes, after sunset, a magical energy is felt with a living, breathing pulse.

The desert has a conscience.

When you feel yourself merging with such vast consciousness, you feel a sense of humility and awe.

When you lie down at night on the firm, silky sand and gaze at the stars, the awareness of the earth and the sky merge within you. You are able to know yourself as a human being: a living conduit between earth and heaven.

Many shamanic experiences and spiritual truths can be known and lived in this sacred environment.

The desert reveals who you are and what you carry. Your mental state is shown in a context of silence, emptiness and containment.

You realize everything that has happened beneath the surface, beneath the noise of civilization. Another layer of skin can be shed, like a snake, leaving behind that which restricts and inhibits new growth.

An even deeper secret of the desert is that it allows you to leave behind what you carry. Layers of density can be removed, as the crystalline mineral landscape retains, stores and transforms.

Any physical ailment you have can be transmuted on this earth. Bone and joint problems often arise from the energy density that the body is holding on to. For protection, for shielding, for remembering, for security. If you allow it, you can become light and energetic again, emerging vibrant and free.

The same goes for mental and emotional burdens. When you truly intend to release and let go, these energies can transform within you, held by the crystalline landscape, under the sun and stars.

When you genuinely work with the secret of the desert, untold magic can occur.

The desert is a place where you can truly feel your place in the cosmos.

This world is an unbalanced world because humans have lost their place in the cosmos. Divorced from nature, soaked in electromagnetic fields, humans in cities have detached themselves from Gaia’s field, Schuman resonance, and Source frequency. This leads to mental illnesses and disorders. Feeling alone, feeling a sense of not belonging, confusion and disconnection.

In the desert you can find clarity and belonging. Once you reestablish your place in nature and the elements, you will gain good health and peace of mind.

The desert has power and energy, the desert has a voice.

The desert will sustain you and allow you to gently lay down your burdens.
