According to the latest reports, a second autopsy was performed on Twisha’s body and it was handed over to her family. Forensic experts arrive at Twisha Sharma’s matrimonial home to collect evidence
According to a report by India.com, a team of forensic experts from AIIMS Delhi headed straight to the matrimonial home of former Miss Pune, Twisha Sharma, after conducting the second autopsy on her body. Experts meticulously examined the room where Twisha was found hanged and gathered crucial evidence. Additionally, forensic experts questioned Twisha’s husband Samarth and her mother-in-law Giribala Singh. The team will submit its detailed report in a sealed envelope.
Meanwhile, the SIT-in-charge and legal advisors left for Delhi for the SC hearing scheduled for May 25, 2026. The Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of Twisha’s death case. A hearing in this matter is scheduled in Delhi on May 25, 2026. Rajneesh Kashyap, the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to investigate the case, left for Delhi. The legal advisor representing Twisha’s family also left for Delhi. The matter is scheduled to be heard before the bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
MP High Court to hear Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law’s bail plea
Twisha Sharma death case has another important update. The family members of the former actress and model have filed a petition in the MP High Court challenging the bail granted to Twisha’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh by the District Court. Giribala was granted anticipatory bail a few hours after the FIR was registered. Twisha’s family has filed a petition in the MP High Court to cancel Giribala’s bail. This matter is also scheduled for May 25, 2026.

Therefore, it is necessary to investigate who helped Samarth stay underground for 7 to 10 days. For the uninitiated, Samarth disappeared shortly after Twisha’s death. He surrendered at the Jabalpur district court on May 22, 2026. Shubhank was quoted as saying:
“Samarth and his former judge mother have close contacts with powerful and influential people in the MP administration, police and judiciary. This has been revealed by the CDR of the duo recently submitted by their legal team before the local court. In such a case, there is a need to investigate who helped Samarth remain in hiding for 7 to 10 days. It is essential to find all such individuals and act particularly against those found to be government employees/officials. While in hiding, Samarth may have destroyed evidence “criticisms of crime”.
