Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has renewed its cooperation with Finnair to provide the airline with aviation fuel services at Vilnius (VNO), Riga (RIX) and Tallinn (TLL) airports.
Additionally, BGS will maintain its role as Finnair’s ground handling service provider at Vilnius Airport.
Fuel supply operations began at VNO in January 2017, followed by TLL in March 2024 and RIX in October 2024.
From these stations, Finnair operates regular services to its Helsinki hub, connecting the Baltic capitals to its wider European and intercontinental network.
Vitalis Dudys, Head of Trade at BGS Group, said: “Our cooperation with Finnair has developed steadily over the years, based on mutual trust and operational consistency. We are pleased to extend this partnership and continue to support Finnair’s operations in the Baltics with reliable fuel and ground handling services.”
Juha Taipalinen, Vice President of Procurement at Finnair, said: “We are very pleased with our long-term ground handling cooperation with BGS and expanding our partnership into fuel supply services was a natural next step.
“Reliable, safe and on-time operations are essential to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire travel chain. Our suppliers play a key role in enabling this, and we value BGS as a reliable partner to support Finnair’s daily operations.”
BGS, which is part of Avia Solutions Group, said the renewed agreements underline its growing role as a regional provider of fuel and ground handling services, supporting airline operations in multiple Baltic hubs and maintaining long-term partnerships with network operators such as Finnair.
