XRP Exchange Reserves Fall: Whale Accumulation Underway?

Something interesting is happening with the XRP crypto.

Approximately 200 million tokens have just left Binance, making the exchange supply rate noticeably lower. That kind of movement doesn’t usually come from small retail accounts.

When coins leave major exchanges, it often means one thing. They are moving into private portfolios, not there waiting to be sold.

On-chain data reveals shifts in supply dynamics

The XRP supply index on Binance just dropped from 0.027 to 0.025 in about ten days. That equates to approximately 200 million XRP disappearing from exchange order books.

CryptoQuant Darkfost Analyst says This type of drop usually indicates renewed accumulation, especially after a 40% correction earlier this year. The logic is simple. When stock exchange reserves fall, investors withdraw coins to private wallets instead of leaving them ready to sell.

Some of them could be internal exchange movements. But 200M XRP is not a small change.

This also fits with Ripple’s broader institutional push, where big players often need private custody rather than exchange balances. On top of that, Glassnode shows that the exchange’s total XRP balances have fallen by almost 55% since the end of 2025.

Less supply on the stock exchanges means less immediate selling pressure. And that may quietly tip the balance in favor of the bulls.

Could this trigger a supply shock? Or is caution warranted?

If demand remains stable while the supply of currency continues to reduce, this is how supply shocks occur. Fewer coins for sale can drive the price up quickly.

Still, not all pullbacks mean whales are buying. Sometimes exchanges simply move funds internally.

The overall picture is mixed. Institutional headlines support the long-term argument, but on-chain utility is still developing.

Look closely at $1.50. If lower supply is met with strong buying there, a breakout is likely. If coins start returning to exchanges, the signal weakens.
