Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT), an air cargo software solutions provider, has announced its involvement in the development of Cargo Terminal No. 1 at Long Thanh International Airport (LTIA) in Vietnam, through a partnership with Aviation Products and Maintenance Joint Stock Company (AVPM), a Vietnam-based aviation technology and services specialist.
Funded by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Long Thanh International Airport is one of the most important infrastructure projects in the region and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
Once operational, LTIA will be Vietnam’s largest airport and a major new hub for cargo traffic throughout Southeast Asia.
As part of the airport development, a new purpose-built cargo terminal is being built. Following a competitive tender process, AVPM was appointed to supply technology and systems for the terminal and selected HLT as its cargo software partner.
The project expands HLT’s already significant operations in Vietnam, adding a large-scale new cargo deployment to its existing customer footprint.
HLT will provide its full ecosystem of cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems, supporting core cargo operations across the new terminal. The ecosystem, which includes business intelligence, track and trace, API integrations and ground management capabilities along with Hermes’ Learning Management System (LMS), will offer real-time visibility, operational efficiency and seamless connectivity between airlines, ground handlers and cargo partners from the start of operations and as volumes increase.
