These days, Srishti is doing bakery pop-ups in Brooklyn, making pavlova for 100, and designing unique cakes. Here, she shares her drag shoes and the most worn skirt in her wardrobe…

“I’m a big naughty person: yesterday I left the house at noon and didn’t return until almost midnight. I went to the gym and the library, then I ate stew with friends and then I went bowling. So, I need a spacious bag. I have a Bean Tote embroidered with ‘Clam’s Mom’ (Clam is my cat), as well as this knitted bag that I bought on the street on the Costa Brava because all the women who were there were carrying one.”

At least once a day, I stop someone walking by and say, ‘I love your bag,’ or ‘Where did you get that coat?’ Even if it’s a vintage piece that I won’t be able to locate, I feel inspired to combine my own pieces in a new way.”

“I’m a big fan of tailoring. I’m 5’1, so I started by hemming my pants. Then I tried more adjustments, like putting the straps on a ribbed tank top to make it fit better. Small adjustments don’t cost much, but they make a big difference.”

“What I’m looking for is to add something pointed, whether it’s the hoop earrings I use them all the time or these puma sneakers. fashion writer Mandy Lee You described my shoe philosophy perfectly when you talked about loving a ‘strange shoe,’ and I’m looking for one that’s comfortable. When I wear loafers, I will add these amazing heel protectors to be able to walk everywhere.”

“I ‘borrowed’ this shirt from a friend. I wear it to work, sleep, and everything in between. T-shirts are the first thing I steal from my loved ones, because I want the most worn ones possible, and that’s the best way to find them! I’ve always raided my dad’s closet, and now when I come home, he leaves a bunch of his old t-shirts for me to go through. Nothing better.”
