TECH has officially launched the Pova 8 5G. This smartphone stands out for combining a huge battery, high refresh rate display, and mid-range specs at an affordable price.
Design and construction quality
The device features a unique design with a triangular camera module in the upper left corner and typography on the back panel indicating compliance with military-grade durability standards (MIL-STD-810H). In addition, it has an IP64 certification for resistance to dust and water. A distinctive secondary display integrated directly into the rear camera module reacts in real time to notifications, incoming messages and music playback.
Hardware and display specifications
The front of the smartphone features a 6.76-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution, a maximum brightness of 950 nits, and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
To power daily operations, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 platform. Storage configurations include up to 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card.

- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage: 31,999 INR (~$334)
Currently, the manufacturer has not announced release dates or retail availability for other international markets.
