Bitcoin price has added more than $4,000 in the last 24 hours, as the asset just hit a monthly peak of $75,000.
Most altcoins have followed suit, helping the total cryptocurrency market capitalization reach $100 billion in one day.
BTC sees monthly spike
The leading cryptocurrency exploded early in the last trading week after the United States and Iran reached a two-week ceasefire. The asset skyrocketed from $68,000 to a local high of $73,000 in just one day. After a brief setback, he returned to the offensive at the end of the week as the two sides prepared for peace talks in Pakistan.
Bitcoin rose to almost $74,000 on Saturday before the actual meeting took place. Once it became known that the two nations’ delegations failed to reach an agreement on the nuclear side, BTC plummeted once again, falling to $70,500.
However, the bulls intervened and helped hold the $70,000 level. The last 12 hours have been much more positive following new reports that Iran and the United States could reopen negotiations soon. Bitcoin reacted with another price surge that took it to $75,000 for the first time since March 17.
Its market capitalization has increased to $1.5 trillion, while its dominance over alts has increased to 57.3% on CG.
ETH targets $2.4K
Most altcoins have turned green over the past day, with ETH leading the charge for larger caps. It has soared more than 9% in the last day and today touched $2,400 for the first time in more than two months. The Ripple token is up 3.5%, similar to BNB, as both assets continue their fight for fourth place.
HYPE, LINK, CC, RAIN, PEPE, UNI and SUI have also posted impressive gains, but RAVE has stolen the show with another 60% increase taking it to over $14 as of now.
The cumulative market capitalization of all cryptoassets has added more than $100 billion in one day and now stands above $2.6 trillion in CG.
