Gatwick-based Unum has launched a business class seat at the trade show currently taking place in Hamburg.
Unum Two is a 21.5” wide forward-facing seat that offers direct aisle access, a privacy door, and what the company says is the largest side piece of any forward-facing seat.
The seat incorporates Unum’s patented Scimitar mechanism, which reduces part count and simplifies MRO processes.
Chris Brady, CEO and founder of Unum, says: “When we first shared the forward-facing concept three years ago, we were clear about the ambition of Unum Two. Now we are introducing a seat that has gone through the entire discipline of design, engineering and testing, and is ready for airline programs.”
The aircraft cockpit display opened this morning and runs through Thursday.
