Massimiliano Allegri admitted that AC Milan fans were right to boo his team after Saturday’s defeat against Udinese.
The Rossoneri were beaten 3-0 at the San Siro and lost further ground in the Serie A title race, while their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League also took a hit.
Milan lost a Serie A home match by at least a three-goal margin without scoring for the first time since February 2021 (3-0 against Inter).
It was also the first time that a team led by Allegri was defeated by three goals without scoring in the Italian top flight.
The Rossoneri hit just three times in 20 attempts against Udinese, and Allegri was unable to defend his team from the boos of the home fans.

“It’s part of football,” he told DAZN. “When you win you are good, when you lose you are not, it was good that they booed us today.
“This is a difficult time for the team. We have lost three of the last four and have failed to score in four games during the second half of the season.
“If you are in the top four, going four games without scoring is not enough.
“In the second goal we were three against one. We need to be organized and clear-headed again, because we still have every chance of reaching the Champions League.”
Milan will travel to Verona in their next league match, before a big top-four clash on April 26 against Juventus, who defeated Atalanta on Saturday.
