The 28-year-old has been sidelined since late November after breaking a bone in her leg during Spain’s Women’s Nations League match against Germany.

Before the injury, Bonmati scored six goals and provided three assists in 11 league games for Barça, while also helping Barça finish top of the league stage in Europe’s premier competition.

Barça qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s Champions League in convincing fashion, beating rival Real Madrid 12-2 on aggregate.

A 6-2 victory in Madrid was followed by a 6-0 victory at the Camp Nou, where Bonmati was present as Barça reached the semi-finals.

Bonmati was also in the stands during the men’s team’s loss to Atlético Madrid on Wednesday, when he revealed a possible timeline for his return.

“I can’t confirm anything, but my goal is to be here [at the Camp Nou] against Bayern,” Bonmati told Movistar Futbol.

“I really enjoyed watching the quarter-final tie against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.

“It was incredibly exciting, but it hurt to watch from the sidelines and I hope to be on the field next time. I can’t wait any longer.”

Barça will face Bayern, who defeated Manchester United in the previous round, while defending champions Arsenal will face Lyon in the other semi-final.
