Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in hiring Marco Silva as coach.
Igor Tudor was only appointed Tottenham’s interim manager in February, but there are already rumors that the Croatian could lose his job at the north London club.
Even if Tudor remains in charge of Tottenham, last season’s Europa League winners will need to hire a permanent manager in the summer, and this is where Fulham boss Silva fits.
The well-known and respected Italian journalist Romano said in his youtube channel: “As for the names appreciated by Tottenham, I wanted to bring to the table, as an exclusive update tonight, the name of Marco Silva.
“Fulham manager Marco Silva has a release clause in his contract and is a name that has been mentioned internally at Tottenham in recent days.
“Marco Silva did a very good job at Fulham in recent years, he was on Tottenham’s list before Thomas Frank last summer.
“Now there has been talk about Marco Silva again internally at Tottenham.
“We will see with De Zerbi, with Silva, what they decide to do with their work for the present and especially for the future because with Tudor, let’s see what happens now, but surely he will not stay beyond this season, even if Tottenham are not relegated.”
