The Croatian coach has lost each of his first four games in charge of Spurs, and their 5-2 Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid is the last of six consecutive defeats in all competitions.

Tottenham have lost each of their last five Premier League games; Only in February 1994 (seven) and November 2004 (six) did they suffer more than 6 consecutive defeats in their league history.

Spurs are also the only team without winning the Premier League so far in 2026, drawing four and losing seven of their 11 games.

Only five times has a team gone longer without a win since the start of a calendar year in the competition: Crystal Palace in 2016 (12) and 2023 (12), Middlesbrough in 2017 (14), Sunderland in 2003 (17) and Derby in 2008 (18).

The pressure on Tudor has increased and Spurs are reportedly already looking for replacements, but the head coach has warned the club not to sack him.

“People think a new manager will come in and things will change and problems will be solved,” Tudor told Sky Sports.

“It makes me laugh.

“When people want a new coach, it’s a new hope. People always want new hope that things will change, but the reality is totally different. The reality is not that.

“In this world where everyone has an opinion, you can never win. But as coaches we have to focus on what we can change. We need to stay calm and believe in ourselves.”

Next up for Spurs is a trip to Liverpool, and Tudor will be without Cristian Romero, Joao Palhinha and the suspended Micky van de Ven at Anfield.

Asked if he had been unlucky with Spurs’ absences since his arrival, Tudor said: “I don’t believe in that stuff.

“But there are too many things. In every game, two or three players are eliminated.

“Sometimes it is not easy to understand the reasons, sometimes you understand the problems and I recognize them, but it has been difficult.

“It is what it is and we have to accept it. We need to see it as a challenge and not cry.”
