Dear friends,
I hope this finds you safe and sound in these tumultuous times. I’m just reaching out to let you know that I will be teaching a webinar TONIGHT, in preparation for this weekend’s New Moon. [Edited to add: here’s the link to purchase the recordings from Friday night’s class!]
The New Moon in Capricorn is scheduled for Sunday, January 18 at 2:25 pm ET. It features a tight, four-planet stellium in Capricorn, with the Sun and Moon meeting at 28 degrees Cap, and Mercury and Mars both at 26 Cap. When the chart is projected for Washington, DC (and this chart rules the entire United States, as our nation’s capital is there), we find these four planets in the Eighth House of Secrets, along with Venus, Pluto, Vesta, and Pallas Athena which are in Aquarius.
There’s something turbulent just beneath the surface. Karmic debts are due. We are called to take responsibility (both collectively and individually) for our past mistakes and to step forward for the common good. Open the windows of your mind and let in some fresh air: if you were an alien newly arrived on this planet and encountering everything you see for the first time, WHAT would seem strange and out of place to you? This is your invitation to address it, to balance the imbalance.
As Venus, Pluto and Carl Jung like to say: “Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. One is the shadow of the other.”
Mars, the God of Action, continues to move through his favorite sign. You are responsible, determined, firm and effective in Capricorn, and offer energetic support to your neighbor Mercury, who rules the New Moon chart for Washington, DC. If you’re dealing with chronically indecisive people, this is a good time to pin them down. (And that includes yourself!) The lies and double-deals are now exposed.
This New Moon continues the trend of our New Moons arriving in the last degrees of their respective signs, which we have encountered every month since last September. We are ending big karmic cycles – it’s our chance to get it right!
Expect more excitement: Sunday actually marks the unofficial opening of eclipse season, because Pallas Athena is currently at the point of the NEXT new moon eclipse in February. Listen carefully to the guidance of the Goddess of Wisdom. She’s pointing out the places where you need to free up space for your next project. Deal with it now, when it’s “not urgent,” so you don’t have to deal with the emergency version later.
If you would like to learn more about the nature of this weekend’s New Moon and how it lands in YOUR chart and your life, I invite you to Join me online on Friday, January 16 at 7:30 pm ET.
A big hug, Ana.
PS: In case you missed it, here is the link to buy the recordings and slides of my webinar for next year 2026! xo
