Each week, we highlight the region’s best professional performances by notable alumni, veterans and rookies.

Here are my picks for the best ones.


Top NFL performances

1. jordanian love, QB, Packers/State of Utah

jordanian lovejordanian lovetThe former Aggie was outstanding Sunday night when he outdueled Aaron Rodgers, propelling the Packers to a victory over the Steelers.

Love threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.4% of his passes.

2. bo nix, Quarterback, Broncos/Oregon

northix continued his strong second season with 247 passing yards and four touchdowns in Denver’s victory. bo nixbo nixabout Dallas.

The four passing touchdowns were the most in a game this season for the former Duck and tied his career high.

This was the third time he has thrown four touchdowns in his season and a half in the league.

3. Justin Herbert QB, chargers/Oregon

hErbert threw for 227 yards and added another 62 yards rushing in the Chargers’ win on Justin Herbert 2Justin Herbert 2Thursday night.

The former Duck threw three touchdowns with just one interception and a 122.8 passer rating as Los Angeles beat the Vikings.

This was his 36th career game with at least two touchdown passes and a passer rating of 100 or more, tied with Russell Wilson for the second-most such games in his first six seasons in NFL history.

4. Kaden Elliss, LB, Falcons/Idaho

Kaden EllissKaden EllissmyLliss tallied a season-high 12 tackles in the Falcons’ loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

The former Vandal also received a pair of tackles for loss and defended a pass.

His 12 stops that day tied the second-most in a single game in his seven-year career.

5. troy franklin, WR, Broncos/Oregon

troy franklintroy franklintThe second-year receiver out of Oregon had one of the best games of his two-year career in the Broncos’ win over Dallas.

He caught a career-high eight passes and tied his career-high with 89 receiving yards.

He also found the end zone twice, the first multi-score game of his professional career.

6. josh allen, QB, bills/Wyoming

josh Allen put up modest stats in the Bills’ dismantling of the Panthers, throwing for 163 yards on just 19 pass attempts and rushing for seven yards.

Josh Allen Mug (1)Josh Allen Mug (1)He took advantage of the limited numbers with one touchdown pass and two rushing. Allen has 46 career games with touchdown passes and rushing touchdowns, the most such games in NFL history.

The former UW star also has 70 regular-season rushing touchdowns and joined Cam Newton as the only quarterbacks with at least 70 regular-season rushing touchdowns in NFL history.

7. Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers/Stanford

The former Stanford star finished Sunday with 68 combined yards on 11 touches.

McCaffrey now has 6,877 rushing yards and 5,025 receiving yards in his career and is the fifth player all-time with at least 5,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards. Three of the other four players are in the Hall of Fame.

8. Roma Odunze, WR, bears/Washington

Roma OdunzeRoma OdunzetThe former Husky had a productive afternoon on Sunday despite the Bears falling to Baltimore.

He finished the day with seven receptions for 114 yards.

His yardage total was his second-highest single-game mark as a professional.

9. Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Colts/USC

Michael PittmanMichael PittmantThe former Trojan had a standout game for the Colts in their win over the Titans.

He led Indianapolis with a season-high 95 yards on eight receptions and found the end zone once.

Two of his receptions were worthy of note.

10. woody marks, RB, Texans/USC (R)

woody markswoody marksMETROArks racked up 111 total yards from scrimmage for Houston in their win over San Francisco.

The former Trojan led the Texans on the ground with 62 yards on the ground and added another 49 in the passing game with four receptions.

11. Alex Singleton LB, Broncos/State of Montana

Alex SingletonAlex SingletonYesIngleton continues to shine for the Broncos this season.

Against the Cowboys, he finished with 11 tackles, marking the third time this season the former Bobcat has recorded double-digit tackles in a contest.

Singleton also forced a fumble.

12. Carson Schwesinger LB, brown/UCLA (R)

Carson SchwesingerCarson SchwesingertThe former Bruin had seven tackles during the Browns’ loss to the Patriots.

The rookie recorded an interception for the first pick of his career.

13. Jaylinn Hawkins, Yes, patriots/California

Jaylinn HawkinsJaylinn HawkinstThe former Golden Bear racked up five total tackles in the Patriots’ win over the Browns and added an interception.

The selection was the second of the season and the first since the first game against the Raiders.

14. Bobby Okereke, LB, Giants/Stanford

Bobby OkerekeBobby OkereketThe former Cardinal led the Giants in tackles in the loss to the Eagles.

Okereke finished the game with eight total tackles and got to Jalen Hurts twice, recording a sack and hurry.

15. justin reid, Yes, Saints/Stanford

Justin ReidJustin ReidtThe former Stanford star recorded seven total tackles and led the Saints with four solo stops.

In the loss to Tampa Bay, he recorded a half-sack and a QB hit.
