We landed in Cape Town in mid-January and got to work.
Oliver and I packed up and moved abroad for a year, pursuing a simple question: what’s the best that could happen?
My parents joined us for the first month, which meant extra hands, loving support, and the sweetest way to start this chapter.
Between Young Children’s Illness (IYKYK) and the role of full-time tour guide, we somehow managed to live so much life.
A long weekend in Paternoster.
Glamping under the stars at Camp Canoe.
Summer in the city.
Oliver starts at his new preschool.
Cape Winelands Adventures.
Slow weekends at the farmers market.
The afternoons lengthened on the beach.
It has been complicated and magical.
Exhausting and energizing.
Somewhere between going to the pharmacy and swimming at the beach, it started to feel less like a move…
And more like the beginning of our biggest adventure yet! 🌍
