Satish Shah, a much-loved actor, said goodbye to the world at the age of 74 on October 25, 2025. The actor passed away due to kidney failure, even after undergoing a kidney transplant to stay well and take care of his wife, Madhu, who was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. On October 27, 2025, Satish’s friends and family organized a prayer meeting to celebrate his life. And now, several videos of the prayer meeting have been doing the rounds on social media, and his wife, Madhu, seems devastated.

The disappearance of Satish Shah has left everyone in the industry with a heavy heart. However, during his prayer meeting, his friends, including Sonu Nigam, paid tribute to him by singing his favorite songs. In one of the images of the funeral, shared by the producer of Sarabhai vs SarabhaiJD Majethia, Madhu was seen humming the actor’s favorite song, Tere Mere Sapne from the movie Guide.
Madhu was seen joining her late husband’s prayer meeting with her close friends, and it was Rupali Ganguly, who asked the paparazzi not to click photos of Madhu, who is surely in an unstable condition, following the late actor’s sudden death. Sharing a glimpse of the funeral, Satish Shah’s friend and producer JD Majethia wrote:
“Celebrating the life of #satishshah was intended to give him appropriate tribute by family and friends. His favorite songs chosen from the usual bhajans keeping his preference in mind were sung. This song was also to convey what are the last words of Madhu bhabi’s songs, WATCH IT TILL THE END to know what we all wish to promise #satish shah. Hum sang hai… (sic).”

The love story of Satish Shah and Madhu
Satish Shah and Madhu’s love story seems straight out of a fairy tale. Satish met Madhu at the SIPTA Film Festival and instantly fell in love with her. When Satish proposed to Madhu, she rejected the proposal. After this, Satish got a role in the film. Saath Saathwhich was shot at SNDT College in Juhu, where Madhu was studying.
Well, she again rejected his proposal, but Satish did not give up; He proposed to her for the third time and she did not reject him, but instead asked him to talk to her parents. At that time, marriage for love was not widely accepted, so the path was not easy for the couple. Satish approached Madhu’s parents and after several months, in 1972, the couple became engaged. Eventually, Madhu and Satish got married and he often labeled her as his “lucky charm”. Talking about Madhu, she stayed away from the public limelight and worked as a fashion designer. The couple had been married for 50 years and had no children, so they decided to dedicate their lives to each other.

He said that the actor wanted to take care of his wife, Madhu, who was suffering from Alzheimer’s. He also said that the couple used to be very warm and adorable, recalling the times when they attended movie premieres. Sachin also shared that now that Satish has passed away, the celebrations will be incomplete without him.
