Safran has signed a definitive agreement with Embraer for the sale of Safran Cabin’s shares in EZAir, its 50/50 joint venture.
The joint venture manufactures Embraer interiors in Chihuahua, Mexico, offers associated after-sales activities and is responsible for related activities (engineering and manufacturing) in Brazil.

The transaction is subject to obtaining applicable regulatory approvals and customary conditions for this type of transaction. The Chihuahua plant, which employs about 1,100 people, will become wholly owned by Embraer.
Safran Cabin Brazil’s activities related to Embraer’s scope will become part of Embraer. Safran Cabin Brazil’s non-Embraer engineering services activities will remain with Safran.
