Al-Nassr recorded a 4-0 victory over Goa in the AFC Champions League 2 despite resting many of their big-name stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
With qualification from Group D already looking like a formality, manager Jorge Jesús opted to rest many of his key stars, with Ronaldo, who has recently made headlines after his latest interview with Piers Morgan, not even in the team and Sadio Mane and Joao Félix named on the bench.
Instead, it was Abdulrahman Ghareeb who stepped up to become the hero, breaking the first-half deadlock with a stunning free kick that crashed off the crossbar before scoring his second goal of the game after the break.
After latching on to a pass from Ali Alhassan, the Saudi Arabia international calmly scored to put the hosts in control.
Mohammed Maran then came into action for Al-Nassr, taking advantage of a certain weakness in the defense to easily score his team’s third.
Felix and Mane came into action in the closing stages and the former Premier League stars quickly combined for a wonder goal, with the latter sending in a cross for the former to find the net with a bicycle kick.
Al-Nassr remains leader of Group D after winning all four group stage matches so far.
