VLADIMIR Putin said Russia has successfully tested a nuclear-capable Poseidon super torpedo and boasted they are unstoppable.
It is the second aggressive nuclear test in a matter of days, after Russia revealed this week that it had also fired a new land-based missile, dubbed the “Flying Chernobyl,” much to Trump’s fury.
Both Russia and the United States have said that Poseidon torpedoes are a new class of retaliation weapon that can cause radioactive tsunamis and make entire coasts uninhabitable.
Putin told a group of soldiers wounded in the war against Ukraine that the test launch took place on Tuesday.
He said: “For the first time we managed not only to launch it with a launch engine from a transport submarine, but also to launch the nuclear power unit in which this device spent a certain time.
“This is a great success.”
He added that Poseidon’s power was greater than that of the Russian Sarmat intercontinental missile.
