New Year’s rituals worth sharing with Bottega Veneta

This New Year, Bottega Veneta wants you to celebrate. In the new CNY 2026 campaign, instead of focusing on the typical glitzy Chinese New Year celebrations, Bottega Veneta attacks the heart of the festive season: connection, culture and self-reflection.

Focusing on the joy of shared culture and individual rituals, the campaign features chef Qu Yuyu, Olympic swimming champion Pan Zhanle, actors Yo Yang and Zhang Kang Le, and film icon Sylvia Chang.

Inspired by the iconic mandopop song. Tian Mi Mi (甜蜜蜜) by Teresa Teng, Bottega’s campaign directed by Dorothia Zhang offers a series of intimate vignettes of each of the featured stars. Whether done in partnership, as part of a family or as an individual, each star participates in a beautiful New Year’s ritual.

During each ritual, whether karaoke, buying flowers or putting on a new outfit, the campaign stars sing sections of Tain Mi Mi. Consequently, it creates the effect that each segment flows together connected by a shared song and spirit. By capturing different people in different situations singing this song, this heartfelt campaign demonstrates the “universal appeal of songs across generations, regions and perspectives.”

Sharing the song thus becomes a ritual and a tradition in itself. As a result, it shows how Tian Mi MiThe nostalgic melody and sweet lyrics of have the power to bring people together.

Teresa Teng’s iconic song was also the inspiration for the romantic drama starring Maggie Cheung and Leon Lai. Almost a love story (1996). A scene in the film shows Cheung and Lai singing. Tian Mi Mi while cycling through Hong Kong; The vignette starring Yo Yang and Melinda Wang is a tribute to this moving moment.

As for the collection itself, it also moves away from ostentation in favor of Bottega Veneta’s core values, which are timeless craftsmanship, individual expression and the beauty of artistic encounters. It includes jewelry with minimalist horse motifs and classic Intrecciato bag designs, including one that features a traditional red knot detail for a subtle CNY festivity.
