Aviation services provider, Gama Aviation, has announced significant progress in the construction of its new Business Aviation Center (BAC) at Sharjah International Airport, a purpose-built facility to elevate aircraft maintenance and operational efficiency across the Middle East.
The development, which represents a multi-million pound investment, underlines Gama Aviation’s long-term commitment to the UAE and the wider EMEA region, establishing Sharjah as a strategic base for commercial aircraft maintenance, parking and line support.
The 80,000 square meter site will feature a 12,000 square meter hangar dedicated to premium aircraft storage and line maintenance, incorporating long-span doors, direct apron access and integrated MRO infrastructure to support multiple large cabin types.
Tooling, parts storage and customer viewing areas will be located within the same controlled environment to optimize workflow and minimize response times.
Tom Murphy, managing director of FBO services at Gama Aviation, said: “The Sharjah Business Aviation Center will set a new benchmark for private aviation in the Middle East and beyond. Every detail, from the flow of the terminal to the layout of the hangars, has been created around efficiency, safety and customer experience.”
Gama Aviation confirmed that the facility’s line maintenance operations will have approvals for multiple OEM types, with future capacity expansion planned as the company expands regional MRO activities.
