Moon in Pisces, from October 31 to November 2

Before dawn on Friday, the Moon slides into watery, mutable Pisces for Halloween weekend. Early Friday morning, the Pisces Moon forms a mutable T square Mercury in Sagittarius opposite Uranus in Gemini, both squaring the sensitive Pisces Moon. This could be extremely irritating for those with personal planets and/or Ascendant of 0° to 2° in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces). Fortunately, the Moon in Pisces is moving quite quickly, which will alleviate the situation a little. Even better, after spending the day unaspected, the Pisces Moon will trine the Scorpio Sun on Friday night, when the Halloween festivities are in full swing. The fun and spooky atmosphere should be present in full force. There may even be clouds that obscure the Moon with swirls of fog, especially in northern latitudes.

All day Saturday, the Pisces Moon will slide unaspected until Saturday night, when it will trine Jupiter in Cancer. This helps create a calm atmosphere that could be good for those recovering from Friday night Halloween parties. Sensitivity to water signs may be more noticeable than usual, so be gentle.

Starting early Sunday morning, the Pisces Moon will connect with the other planets in water signs. First, it will join Saturn retrograde in Pisces, a somewhat solemn energy. After that, the Pisces Moon will trine Mars in Scorpio closer to sunrise and then join Neptune retrograde in Pisces before going aimless for a very short time just around sunrise. We should find our sleep restful with the possibility of having a vivid dream or two. Once the Moon reaches Aries, the energy increases again on Sunday. Pisces’ dreamy energy can make this a special Halloween, because Pisces loves to indulge in fantasies from time to time. Sounds fun!

There are no astronomical events during the Moon’s stay in Pisces, which is definitely a blessing. For those who don’t like Halloween parties, spending quality, quiet time is also something Pisces Moons are good for. We can always take advantage of a break in the action these days to rest while we can.

Note: Time is an average of EDT to PDT.
