Toxic masculinity issues can develop in the family circle, causing disruption and distress. Fortunately, lunar aspects dissolve fairly quickly and in the morning, the Moon in Cancer should be in a better mood, as it travels unaspected for most of the day on Sunday. Late Sunday afternoon, the Moon in Cancer is empowered by a trine to Mercury in Scorpio. If apologies are needed to restore peace to the family, they will be given succinctly.
The Moon in Cancer will trine Mars in Scorpio shortly after midnight on Sunday night, and that should be helpful for those working the night shift. Intuitive actions could work quite well. At noon on Monday, the Cancer Moon forms a square to the Libra Sun, marking the midpoint between the Full Moon and the New Moon. Late Monday afternoon or early evening, the Cancer Moon joins Jupiter in Cancer, warming the mood and inclining us to be more forgiving of our family’s weaknesses. Around midnight, the Cancer Moon trines Saturn retrograde in Pisces before losing its way for a few hours. We may experience more bad moods under this Moon in Cancer, but the bad mood will likely pass fairly quickly unless we decide to feed it. This is a good time to reset our ideas about what family means to us and expand our idea of family to include those we love who are not related to us by blood. Think about it.
There are three astronomical events during the Moon’s stay in Cancer, and they are all on Monday. Venus transitions into Libra, where it will quickly oppose Neptune retrograde in Aries and Pluto will move directly into 1° 22′ Aquarius.
Venus loves being in Libra, partly because Venus rules Libra and is therefore very happy in the seventh sign. Venus in Libra is characterized more by having an eye for beauty than projecting warmth and understanding, but this Venus is also good at encouraging people to get along because Libra prefers a peaceful environment. On Monday and Tuesday Venus in Libra participates in a cometary pattern along with Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius. Venus in Libra opposes retrograde Neptune in Aries and is trine the other two planets. Mercury in Libra and the Libra Sun were in the same position in September. Can Venus in Libra find an audience for its message of peace, commitment and justice? We can only wait.
Pluto’s seasons are very long affairs; We often don’t notice its impact until long after the fact. This time, however, Pluto will be located directly at 1° 22′ Aquarius in trine to Uranus in Gemini and retrograde sextile to Neptune in Aries, as well as forming a trine to Venus in Libra. There could be a chance that we see the positive side of Aquarius that supports humanitarian goals. So be it.
