Moon in Aquarius, from October 28 to 31

Late on Tuesday night, the Moon enters airy, fixed Aquarius, where it will trine Uranus in Gemini and join Pluto in Aquarius well before dawn. The world of ideas comes into focus at this moment. Additionally, Mercury will be very active on Wednesday and Thursday, putting even more emphasis on the logical and rational side of information processing. If we find it difficult to close our minds to sleep or end up feeling excess nervous energy, this may be the reason.

It will be around noon on Wednesday before the Aquarius Moon makes its next aspect, a square to the Scorpio Sun that marks the midpoint between the New Moon and the Full Moon. We can use this moment to evaluate how we are doing. The Aquarius Moon won’t be aspects until Thursday afternoon, which could give us room to breathe. We may need a moment or three to process the data dump.

On Thursday afternoon, the Aquarius Moon enjoys a trine with Venus in Libra, probably the most pleasant time for everyone during this Aquarius Moon. This gives us a break in the action to refocus if necessary. Late on Thursday night, the Aquarius Moon squares Mars in Scorpio before losing its way until the early hours of Friday morning. There could be some fruitless pushing and shoving Thursday night. It’s a good time to take a step back and think carefully before taking any action.

There are five astronomical events during the Moon’s stay in Aquarius, and all but one involve Mercury. On Wednesday, Mercury in Scorpio will trine retrograde Neptune in Pisces, then Mercury leaves Scorpio for fiery Sagittarius, Mars in Scorpio trines Saturn in Pisces, and finally, Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Uranus in Gemini. On Thursday, Mercury in Sagittarius is sextile Pluto in Aquarius.

The intense focus on Mercury is likely to be unsettling, especially for the Mercury-ruled signs of Gemini and Virgo. Nerves can become strained as we experience waves of conflicting data. The trine of Mercury in Scorpio with Neptune in Pisces is the least annoying and the most creative. But once Mercury shifts into Sagittarius, the volume will likely increase with many loud differences of opinion. Mercury in Sagittarius is rarely reluctant to talk. Instances of cognitive dissonance will probably be quite high as well.

The opposition of Mercury in Sagittarius to Uranus in Gemini could produce sudden changes in thought and direction. Deals that we may have considered done can fall apart due to unexpected revelations. When Mercury in Sagittarius sextiles Pluto in Aquarius, the shift to a more impartial perspective could ease tensions.

Meanwhile, Mars in Scorpio trine Saturn in Pisces offers a different approach. It is a good time to remember the tremendous power of water. You can remove what seemed permanent in the blink of an eye. In this case, we can use this force to create positive and lasting change, but we will probably have to let go of a part of our lives in order to see the best results. These two planets are not willing to waste time, as Mars in Scorpio takes no prisoners and Saturn in Pisces is not known for dishing out karma without good reason.
