Joleon Lescott has launched a career as a DJ after playing and it seems he has the full support of one of his former teammates: Micah Richards.
Lescott, whose father was also a DJ, fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing at Reading Festival on the Jägermeister stage, playing an energetic collection of dance anthems to a massive crowd.
But front and center in the audience wasn’t just any fan: there was Richards, making sure not to miss a beat.
Richards, who spent five seasons with Lescott at Manchester City and helped the club to two Premier League titles, was captured on footage dancing, holding a bottle of Jägermeister and joining fans, including one wearing a City shirt, much to Lescott’s amusement.

A separate video posted to Instagram by Richards showed him taking the microphone as Lescott’s MC, leading the crowd in chants between songs and getting the audience excited.
Having played over 100 games together for club and country, it’s clear that Lescott and Richards’ friendship has seamlessly extended far beyond the pitch, with Lescott commanding the decks and Richards helping to bring the party to life in front of him.
