The American River Hotshot crew retreats as flames jump their containment line. The Hotshots are an elite type 1 team who cut a line without fuel to try to put out the fire. The park fire was started by an arsonist on July 24 and destroyed more than 600 buildings. It was the largest intentional fire in California history.
