Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, organized by Ifema Madrid with the support of the Madrid City Council, will take place from March 18 to 21, 2026 (its winter edition has traditionally taken place in February), in a new edition that introduces “a renewed structure” aimed at “finding its place on the international calendar.”

As reported by Ifema Madrid in a statement, the new edition will be condensed into four days, two of which will feature parades in different locations in Madrid (an approach first adopted last September), while the last two days will take place at the congress center. Opening day will be headlined by designers with a more elevated, haute couture approach.

On March 19, the second day will be dedicated to the new generation of designers, with more urban and contemporary proposals aimed at digital natives, with the aim of consolidating talent with an international vocation.

The third day will focus on the industry, with a dedicated area of international showrooms to encourage professional networking and connections between brands, buyers and the specialized press.

The closing day will celebrate EGO’s 20th anniversary, with shows and performances highlighting the innovation and creativity of emerging designers. The program will trace EGO’s journey over the years and strengthen its future projection, reaffirming its role as an essential platform for new generations in fashion.

The director of MBFWMadrid, Asier Labarga, stated that, with these new changes, they want “each edition of this event to surprise and excite.”

“This new structure seeks to open fashion to the city, reinforce its international profile and celebrate the future with an ambitious outlook, always with an eye toward promoting talent and the fashion industry,” he stated.

The main catwalk will also reveal a new scenography and visual identity, leaving behind its characteristic black background in favor of a brighter, dynamic and contemporary image, aligned with the innovative spirit of this new stage.

The EGO platform has been serving two decades as a great springboard for emerging Spanish talent. Designers such as Dominnico, María Ke Fisherman, Pepa Salazar and Beatriz Peñalver took their first steps on this catwalk that today continues to shape the future of fashion.

On the occasion of its anniversary, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is open to new partners and strategic alliances that reinforce the role of EGO.

Starting this Wednesday, registration is open to participate in the shows of the next edition of MBFWMadrid, both in the general programming and on the EGO platform. The participation bases and registration form are available on the event’s official website.
