Mark Ruffalo has shared his main idea about activism with the public and the new age people will listen and help the local communities most affected by climate change. In addition to being a co-founder of Solutions Project, the actor participated in Rainn Wilson’s “Soulboom” program where he revealed his plan, which is simply for those suffering from environmental problems to receive more attention. This way of thinking is the very foundation of the work done with her nonprofit, which provides financial support and publicity to the climate solutions that Black, Indigenous, women’s, and working-class communities have established.

Mark revealed his approach through a video. “I think the best way to be an activist is to focus more or less on the most oppressed people on the front lines,” she shared. “What we can do is make sure their voices are heard. We can join them with the audience we’ve already attracted.” He indicated that the past of the Solutions Project was linked to the Anti-fracking campaign in New York State, where it was very clear that working with local communities had to be part of the process. “They were the ones who went through this every day,” Mark said. “Therefore, they had no choice but to find solutions to climate change as a matter of their own existence.”
This organization now led by CEO Gloria Walton lives by this motto in action by investing an incredible 80% of its resources in organizations led by Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, especially women. The purpose of this venture is to foster a planet with a large population where everyone has “clean air, water, energy and land” available as their right. They will achieve this through the empowerment of grassroots movements. Ruffalo’s continued advice was simple but very wise: “Listen to the voices from the ground level. Don’t translate them through your own understanding. Don’t announce them.”
The article reached and moved people around the world and therefore sparked a lot of thoughtful and supportive comments. Many users praised Mark Ruffalo’s character and also commented on the kindness of his treatment. One user commented: “I am very moved. This is how it should be done, this is how the world could change for the better. Stand with the weak and/or oppressed and support them, give them a voice. No one is useless and no one is unloved.” Another said he couldn’t understand how a person could be described as “the most wonderful and kind-hearted” and at the same time go unnoticed.
One of the more thoughtful comments noted Mark’s special role. “There you go again, Mark shows that true heroes don’t necessarily have to have superpowers, just a good heart and humility,” the user commented. “Thank you very much for not only listening but also for filtering out the powerful and having access to the not so privileged through the microphone. You are facilitating the transition from suffering to empowerment and from ideas to implementation, together with the communities.” Another fan noticed a change in her view of him when she said, “I’ve always appreciated you as an actor, but now I can say that I absolutely love you as a human being because of your activism. Thank you a million.”
The talk also received praise directed at the project’s precise focus. “I really appreciate this, especially how it shows those most affected by climate change, the very people whose voices need to be heard,” one commented, very much in line with the main point of the post. From the Spanish-speaking community, a user emotionally expressed his feelings by saying: “What a feeling when everyone knows the role that society has assigned them, especially when that role is so powerful and they use it to enlighten others and contribute a ‘grain of sand’ from their position.”
However, the position also proved to be a platform for the expression of broader and sometimes critical political views. The speech, for example, moved from climate justice to international conflicts when one user suggested: “Perfect! You should also talk about Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, where you will find real dictatorships on your continent.” To which a user responded referring to the situation of “The real genocide in Sudan.” Another user took the critical approach, saying: “Mark was my favorite. Unfortunately, his concern comes to an end when he involves the Jews… It is possible to be a friend of both Gaza and the suffering Israeli people.” One user even went so far as to say, “The best way to be an activist, Mark, is to first learn about a region where you obviously know nothing.”
One of the responses included skeptics about the very existence of climate change. One very critical and harsh comment simply dismissed the whole idea, saying that climate change is a plan to
