Manchester United do not want to sell Kobbie Mainoo, according to reports Soccer insider information.
Although Mainoo has struggled to establish himself in Man Utd’s starting lineup, the Red Devils highly value the young England international midfielder and consider him a big part of their future.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “I think it will take a lot of things for Man United’s stance to change. United really don’t want to let him go.”
“They blocked moves for him in the summer window and their stance remains the same in January.
“Mainoo are frustrated by the lack of first-team opportunities under Amorim this season, but Man United are one midfield injury away from Mainoo returning to that team.
“If Bruno Fernandes or Casemiro were sidelined through injury or suspension, Mainoo would also be the obvious replacement in their team.
“United are planning to retain Kobbie Mainoo as they still feel he will have a role to play for them this season as they look to finish as high as possible in the Premier League table and qualify for Europe, either in the top four or six.”
