Jr NTR’s film unit to look for locations in Tunisia
Jr NTR’s upcoming film Dragon (working title) has wrapped up two shooting schedules so far. Just as the third schedule was about to begin, the unit took a break. Partly because the actor needs time to undergo a body transformation for one of the roles and partly because director Prashanth Neel is modifying the script to make it more exciting and intense. Jr NTR will resume shooting for the film next week, while other members of the unit will leave for Tunisia to scout locations.

One Week Location Scouting

A team of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s film unit will leave for Tunisia (North Africa) to scout locations. The country is a popular filming location, particularly known for being a major filming location for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. From ancient archaeological sites and bustling souks to azure coasts, the Atlas Mountains and the northern edge of the Sahara Desert, the country has it all. Neel wanted to explore interesting places and bring out the best of the country in his film. According to sources, “a technical team will leave for the North African country of Tunisia in a couple of days to conduct a week-long location search.” After SSMB29, Dragon would be the second Telugu film to visit an African country to shoot a film in recent times.

Filming in November

If all goes well, Jr NTR will begin shooting for the film abroad in the last week of November. But before that, the actor would resume shooting… briefly working for a lavish action episode at RFC in Hyderabad. The film’s large canvas, extensive visual effects, and complex action sequences require significant post-production time. Billed as an epic action saga with emotionally charged incidents taking place across a periodic timeline, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2025.
