Italian consumer price index rose 1.2% year-on-year in October 2025: Istat

The Italian consumer price index fell 0.3 percent month-on-month and rose 1.2 percent year-on-year (year-on-year) in October this year, according to preliminary estimates by national statistics agency Istat.

It increased 1.6 percent year-on-year in September.

Core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed food) for the month rose 2 percent and inflation excluding energy also rose 2 percent.

The CPI for goods rose 0.2 percent year-on-year in the month from a 0.6 percent year-on-year increase in September. The inflation gap between services and goods increased from 2 percentage points in September to 2.4 in October.
