India’s fiscal deficit between April and September this year was Rs 5.73 trillion ($65.19 billion), or 36.5 percent of the estimate for this fiscal year (FY26).

This comprised ₹12.29 trillion of tax revenue (net to the central government), ₹4.6 trillion of non-tax revenue and ₹347 billion of non-debt capital revenue.
