With the Premier League title fight suddenly heating up, we have what could be a weekend of season-defining matches across the country.

As well as five Premier League clashes, there are also a series of eye-catching championship battles on a packed Saturday schedule.

For those who want to continue playing on Saturday, we’ve taken a look at some of the most interesting betting markets available.

Saturday February 21

BST 15:00 Millwall vs Portsmouth

While Millwall might have narrowly missed out on a play-off berth last season, Alex Neil’s men have roared back in sensational fashion this time around.

Breaking a number of records, the Lions find themselves in the middle of what has become a pretty purple zone and can noticeably get closer to the automatic promotion places this weekend.

Last seen claiming a 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday, the former Norwich boss finds the atmosphere in his camp red hot.

Opening Saturday’s clash in bronze medal position, Millwall have recorded 10 points in their four previous Championship clashes. Starting February with a heavyweight scalp by securing an eye-catching 2-0 win against Wrexham, Saturday’s hosts are riding a huge wave of momentum.

Considered a top contender this weekend and looking to make another promotion statement, the Lions have also suffered just one Championship defeat since December 20.

Portsmouth, who claimed essential momentum earlier in the week when they claimed a 3-1 win against Charlton, will be desperate to use that clinical performance as a platform moving forward.

However, despite returning to the English capital this weekend with a four-point lead over the relegation zone, John Mousinho’s men are considered the big underdogs in south London and should be concerned by their recent defeat at The Den.

They suffered a 2-1 defeat when they last traveled to the promotion contenders in April 2025, losing their previous three trips to the Lions by an aggregate score of 5-2.

Also worth noting is that, despite claiming that 3-1 win at Charlton on Tuesday night, Pompey have recorded just a pair of Championship wins away from Fratton Park so far this season.

Two teams still battling at opposite ends of the Championship table, we’re backing a home win on Saturday afternoon.

Tip: Millwall win @ 11/10

17:30 West Ham-Bournemouth

Although West Ham could open Saturday’s games three points clear of the relegation zone, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have shown some real signs of life over the last month.

Despite suffering last-gasp heartbreak against Manchester United last week, when they ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 draw in east London, the former Nottingham Forest boss has seen his resurgent side suffer just one defeat in any of their seven previous appearances in all competitions.

Enjoying what has become by far their most fruitful period of the 2025/26 campaign, West Ham will be desperate to find a route out of the relegation zone.

However, it is worth noting that, displaying some prolonged defensive issues, Santo’s side have recorded just a pair of clean sheets in the Premier League so far this season.

In fact, the Hammers have also seen their last five home games across all formats end with both teams finding the net.

While Bournemouth might have closed out 2025 amid public trouble, Andoni Iraola’s side have come back strong in sensational fashion.

Last seen in a spectacular comeback at Everton, when they finally left Merseyside with a 2-1 victory, the Cherries now have their sights set on mounting a late European charge. The former Rayo Vallecano coach, who has rocketed up the Premier League standings, should find the atmosphere in his camp at its highest point of the season.

As well as registering 10 points in their last four top-flight battles, Bournemouth are also unbeaten in their previous six Premier League meetings (four wins, two draws).

Looking to extend their progress into the top six this weekend, it is also worth noting that Iraola’s side have achieved back-to-back Premier League wins away from Vitality for the first time this season.

However, the Cherries have recorded just one Vitality clean sheet since August 30.

Tip: Both teams will score @ 2/3

20:00 Manchester City-Newcastle

Watching Arsenal suffer a notable last-gasp collapse against Wolves in midweek, Manchester City will be more than aware that they face a must-win clash here.

Going into Saturday’s battle knowing they can close to within just two points of the Gunners, Pep Guardiola’s men have a big job on their hands in the race to regain their Premier League crown in 2026.

However, after pulling off an iconic last-gasp comeback against arch-rivals Liverpool on February 8, when they claimed a famous 2-1 victory at Anfield, the Sky Blues are enjoying what has been a true purple streak.

Earning their place in this season’s EFL Cup final after claiming a convincing 5-1 aggregate victory against Newcastle earlier in the month, Guardiola’s superstar side will know the importance of making up some ground.

Similarly, Man City also won their previous six consecutive meetings at the Etihad in all formats by an aggregate score of 22-2.

After putting in a sensational Champions League performance on foreign soil in midweek when they opened their play-off adventure with a 6-1 win against Qarabag, Eddie Howe’s side have certainly turned a corner in the last fortnight.

Extending their charge in the FA Cup last weekend and making a real statement in the Midlands as they cruised to a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa, the former Bournemouth boss has seen his team win each of their three previous appearances in all competitions.

However, having relinquished their famous EFL Cup crown on February 4 when they fell to a 5-1 aggregate defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Howe’s side will prepare for a much more challenging test on Saturday night.

It is also worth noting that, including the 3-1 defeat when they traveled to Manchester on February 4, Howe’s team have failed to record a single domestic victory at the Etihad since October 2014.

Tip: Manchester City wins and both teams score @ 9/5
