After months of secrecy, the company presented its innovation at a recent event in China, describing it as a breakthrough in energy storage for the electric vehicle industry.
According to Chery, the new battery achieves energy density of 600 Wh/kga figure much higher than that of the best current lithium-ion cells. Thanks to this advance, vehicles powered by the new unit could reach a Real-world range up to 1,300 kilometers (about 808 miles) with a single charge.
